We’re pivoting to make sure Oakland families that registered for the event still receive holiday meals, toys, and joy we’ve been preparing with so much care.
This will be a scaled-down, indoor pop-up focused on warmth, connection, and celebration.

Step Into a Magical Holiday Winterland
The OakLuv Foundation, in partnership with community organizations and local sponsors, are hosting a FREE holiday celebration at Oakland’s beloved Children’s Fairyland.
All rides and attractions will be open exclusively for our guests.
Live entertainment including a DJ, local artists, puppet shows, and more.
Santa’s Workshop with family photo opportunity, raffles and toy giveaways.
Community Zone featuring health and human service partners highlighting local support programs.
Food and warm beverages available throughout the night.
This celebration brings together families, neighbors, and community partners for an unforgettable holiday experience. Advance pre-registration is required, and the event will sell out fast.

Yes. Every attendee, including children, must have a free ticket so we can safely welcome families into Fairyland.
Tickets go quickly, so be sure to reserve yours in advance. Register for free tickets on https://oakluv.org/fairyland -
Yes. Park admission, rides, activities, and entertainment are free. Warm meals and beverages are also provided while supplies last.

Oakland Families and community members of all ages who pre-register for a free ticket are welcome.
To enter Fairyland, adults must be accompanied by children and children must be accompanied by an adult. Everyone who enters needs their own ticket. -
Live entertainment, puppet shows, Santa’s Workshop, raffles, toy giveaways, and a Community Zone with local support programs.

Check-in is at the main gate on Bellevue Avenue. Have your ticket QR code on your phone or printed ticket ready. Anyone entering the park needs their own ticket to enter.

Warm layers, comfortable shoes, and a fully charged phone. Holiday attire and costumes are encouraged. Strollers are welcome.

Alcohol, pets (except service animals), large coolers, bikes, scooters, and debris-creating items like confetti or glitter.

The event will continue with light rain or shine, with activity adjustments as needed. Check https://oakluv.org/fairyland for updates. Organizers will contact attendees if weather conditions warrant cancellation.
Getting to Fairyland
Fairyland is located on the shores of Lake Merritt at Grand Avenue and Bellevue Avenue. 699 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland, CA 94610
Whether you’re driving or taking public transit, getting to the 10-acre park is a breeze, and there will be free parking nearby.

Children’s Fairyland is BARTable!
Take BART to 19th Street station. It’s a 10-minute walk to Fairyland.
Then, exit to the 20th Street stairway to street level.
Walk on 20th Street to Harrison Street. Turn left on Harrison.
Turn right on Grand Avenue.
Fairyland is one block away, at the intersection of Grand and Bellevue (right side).
On AC Transit (bus):
Take the #12 bus from the 19th Street BART station to Fairyland.

From Marin, Richmond: Take 80 West to 580 East (toward Hayward).
From San Francisco: Take the Bay Bridge to 580 East (toward Hayward).
From Walnut Creek: Take 24 through the Caldecott Tunnel to 580 East (toward Hayward).
From Berkeley: Take 580 East (toward Hayward).
From 580 East:
Take the Harrison Street exit in Oakland and turn right onto Harrison.
Turn left at Grand Avenue.
Children’s Fairyland is one block away, at the intersection of Grand and Bellevue.
Turn to the right and park.
From Hayward, San Leandro, or Pleasanton:
Take 580 West to the MacArthur/Harrison exit in Oakland.
Turn left on Harrison and left on Grand Avenue.
Fairyland is one block away on the right, at the intersection of Grand and Bellevue.
From San Jose, Hayward, or Fremont:
Take 880 North to the Oak Street exit in Oakland.
Turn right on Oak, which becomes Lakeside Drive.
Turn right on Grand Avenue.
Fairyland is located one block away, at the intersection of Grand and Bellevue (right side).

Free public parking is available on Bellevue Avenue for this event.
There is also metered parking on Grand Avenue surrounding the park which is FREE after 6 pm.
Please remove all valuables from your vehicle.
